'Rocky' star Dolph Lundgren recalls sending Sylvester Stallone to the hospital during filming
Stallone was rushed to the hospital and spent four days in the intensive care unit after Lundgren punched him.
During the making of "Rocky IV," Dolph Lundgren once
sent co-star Sylvester Stallone to the hospital.
Following Stallone's punching incident with Lundgren during the
filming of the film's climactic fight sequence, the actor was transported to a
hospital and kept in critical condition for four days.
The 66-year-old Lundgren, who is appearing in the next film
"Wanted Man," remembered the incident and how he later found out
Stallone had been hospitalized during an interview with Fox News Digital.
"The final bout was filmed first. The producer called me
while I was in Vancouver and said, "Oh, you got two weeks off." And I
think, 'Oh, that's terrific. You know, what took place? "Oh, Sly's in the
hospital," he said. Thus, like everyone else, I merely learned about it,"
Lundgren recalled.
